WALK ON THE WILD SIDE

Journal Entry: Tue Jul 3, 2007, 7:42 AM
Walk on the Wild Side: A Short film by Stephene Sednaoui, based on the song by Lou Reed.  If the idea of drag queens and men kissing offends you than for Gods sake don't click on the link to this film.  On second thought, if that's the case you probably need to be offended so go ahead and click it anyways > [link] < ;-)

Little Joe never once gave it away...

Everybody had to pay and pay...

A hustle here and a hustle there...

New York City is the place where they said:

Hey babe, take a walk on the wild side..

I said hey Joe, take a walk on the wild side

...alright

Wow that was a great little film. He really had some convincing actors...they looked so perfectly Warholian. I remember being so devastated when Andy died.:(

Yeah I was amazed by how much the actors really looked like the people they were portraying. And in case you blinked and missed it....that was Lou Reed operating the crane in the very beginning. =D

Oh no...I caught that. I used to see Lou Reed around in Greenwich Village years ago. He has a very unique face, chiseled with years of um..."experience". Kind of similar to Iggy Pop's. :)

I thought you might dig it. Most of it was filmed down where I shoot most of my stuff [link] plus you get the added bonus of watching Lou Reed try to operate a crane in the begining of the clip. ;-)

It's not only the location you share. The visual style seems very similar to your own as well.

Frankly I'd be jealous of Sednaoui but he did such a stellar job, his genius can't be denied. Now if they'd only make a feature film like that, based on Ziggy Stardust or something, I'd be heaven! :blowkiss:
