Such a beautiful pic .
And such surprise 2 me because although i know a lot about Chelsea Hotel, all the famous people who spent some time in there and about this song evoking Janice well, funny thing, i have never actually seen a picture of it.
I like that building and the way you photographed it, the angle you chose . It's imposing sure thing but somehow friendly at the same time - maybe cos of the flowers and of that soft light. And also maybe thanks to all the memories it bears

This is just one of the many things people often take for granted. They walk by it everyday and see it as just there, a normal occurrence. The hotel, the motel and they can never look beyond it. I feel sorry for people like that. Must be terribly boring not losing your mind once in a while or being unable to see the beauty in the ordinary, strange or what one considers "ugly".

That being said, the building itself is great in stature and if it were towering over me I'd be one scared woman. Very cool, the neon signs in just the right spot.
