Artist's Comments

I remember you well
In the Chelsea Hotel
You were talking so brave and so sweet
Giving me head
On the unmade bed
While the limousines wait in the street

- Leonard Cohen

Looks very dramatic. I was suppossed to be going there with my now ex. I was wanting to stay in the Sid and Nancy room.
:iconbaddogltd:
That's funny. I pass by it all the time and always think about checking into the Sid and Nancy room. The one time I tried it was booked.
Someday.

Gives me a feeling of 'Sin City' doesn't it to you?

Another night with your head in the oven, simmering like a heat wave over you.
:iconbaddogltd:
Surely. Although the Chelsea Hotel is so iconic in New York that is has an aura all it's own. Many artists used to live there and instead of paying their bills with cash they would give a piece of artwork to hang in the lobby. Many went on to become famous. And of course it's were Sid Vicious stabbed Nancy Spungeon to death:fork:. It costs extra to rent that room.
:iconprotographer:
Ahah! My birthday falls on the same date as Sid Vicious - 10th May. I had no idea about the history behind the hotel, I feel like I'm missing out on an entire era of fun and stories! Surely with the work you display here, you've swapped a few pieces in place of a roof over your head?

Well when your a little older, come see New York. And bring your camera.

And I wish I could say 'yes' to your question but I've never made a dime on my artwork:cries:
Gotta slog through the day job and take my pix at night or weekends.
T's O.K. with me though. Could always be worse.
And you should do more pix like the flying bookreader. I'll fave 'em all.
:iconprotographer:
Never made a dime?! I find that so hard to believe... I guess New York is a tough environment to get any exposure?

I'll definately be doing more 'flying' shots - I just wish I had the right studio setup to get clean shots. So far my bedrooms been the only option :p - They're all timer'd too - so jumping JUST at the right time is nigh on impossible. I've lost my knees already I think! Haha!

:iconbaddogltd:
Yeah, that's why I faved it. I was gonna suggest that I would've liked to see the whole other arm in the picture but I realize how hard it is just to sync up with the timer. Great job.
Studio? Never used one myself. You've got an imagination which is better.
Look forward to seeing your next deviation.
Peace

Wow, everything in this series is just...

LUSH. That the only way I can describe them. Congrats on making crumbling sidewalks and street corners look richly textured. :worship:
